Athena the Adventures of a Fearless Dragon is a visual book about my bearded dragon, who was born with her two back feet missing. She wants to be accepted like everyone else but is unsure how to accomplish her lifelong goal. During her journey of integration, she and her brothers are abandoned, put on a plane, and sent to Oregon. They learn to work together to survive while also strengthening their sibling bond.

As someone who was born with cerebral palsy, I am passionate about writing books that help raise awareness around special needs, disabilities, and being kind. I am able to relate to Athena (the fearless dragon) so much since she also lives with a disability. Our friendship has helped me learn to live a life I truly love.
